Steven Trotter
Steven serves as a global well-being consultant and the principal of Globetrotter Wellness Solutions. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Coastal Carolina Community College and the Director of Well-Being at East Carolina University (ECU). As the ECU Well-Being Collective chair, he spearheads well-being initiatives across all ECU campuses. His expertise lies in recreation and well-being, leadership, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement. He excels in program development, evaluation, and strategic brand management.
Steven is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and is recognized as a Top 3 finalist for the 2017 IDEA World Health & Fitness Program Director of the Year. He contributes to CampusRec Magazine and blogs for the American Council on Exercise (ACE). From 2012 to 2015, He served a 3.5-year term on ACE's Industry Advisory Panel, representing global university recreation and well-being programs.
As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Steven empowers teams and individuals to elevate employee engagement, optimize operational systems, and cultivate a culture of well-being.
He holds a Master of Science in Health and Physical Education from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in
Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His professional certifications include American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist, ACE Certified Health Coach, Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Medical Exercise Specialist. Additionally, he is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a GreenDot Bystander Intervention Facilitator.
